Valuation

LatAm Access, through its partners and consultants, has financially valued diverse companies in different segments (industrial, retail, technological), in various regions of the world, and with distinct corporate profiles, including publicly traded and privately held companies.

The expertise of LatAm Access encompasses a wide variety of services, providing opinions and reports for private companies (in acquisition decisions), investors (such as private equity and venture capital funds), investment funds, creditors in risk assessment for credit granting, law firms, and arbitration proceedings.

The company's clients benefit from the vast experience of the team of consultants, who not only master the best financial practices and methodologies for business valuation, but also possess extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring processes and academic discussions on the subject. Through solid analyses grounded in the most sophisticated techniques applied by the market, LatAm Access aims to provide the best solutions to its clients.

Furthermore, various corporate decisions require a valuation opinion, report, or appraisal:

  • Mergers and acquisitions

  • Joint-ventures

  • Divestitures

  • Restructuring and recapitalization

  • Public offerings for issuance or repurchase of shares

The most common business or asset valuation models are discounted cash flow, multiples, asset replacement value, and similar transactions.

Each selected model will provide a value estimate, and the model selection will depend on the valuation objective, the amount of information available in the market and on the asset itself, and the company's characteristics (in financial distress, technology, intangible-intensive, among other factors).

Usually, at least two models are applied, and the difference in value found and the reasons for the difference are explored.
